EECS Master's of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) Program
Growing opportunities in information technologies within the Kansas City metropolitan area prompted the creation of a Master’s of Science in Information
Technology (MSIT) degree at the KU Edwards Campus. The new MSIT program uniquely blends graduate courses in computer science, Internet engineering,
information security, and software engineering/management with applied research opportunities.
Industry professionals seeking to enhance their technical knowledge and recent graduates in computing sciences, business information systems, and other information
technology-related disciplines will benefit from MSIT advanced studies. To accommodate our students’ busy daytime schedules, all MSIT courses are offered during
evening hours. Each class meets once a week, and all courses are taught by highly qualified KU faculty. The program requires 30–33 credit hours and can be completed
in two years.
MSIT reflects the KU mission statement and its commitment to offer the highest quality professional and graduate programs to serve the workforce, economic, and community
development needs of the region.
