The Department is structured into five primary focus areas: Bioinformatics, Communications Systems and Networking, Computer Systems Design, Interactive Intelligent Systems, and Radar Systems and Remote Sensing. While EECS researchers are listed under their principal focus area, diverse research interests often lead them to explore multiple disciplines. You are not limited to specific EECS focus areas; you and your faculty advisor may develop a plan of study for a concentration not within our primary areas.
