Student Windows System Administrator
The EECS Department is currently advertising an opening for a
student window system administrator position.
Responsibilities:

Installing, configuring, imaging, and testing new hardware and software.

Supporting end users with hardware and software questions and problems.
-
Minor miscellaneous hardware and software troubleshooting.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
-
Eligibility for student employment.

Able to work a flexible schedule between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday.

Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and software.
-
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
-
The ability to use the Internet as a research tool to solve problems.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Prefered Qualifications:
-
Willingness to work through the summer in addition to the academic year.

One or more years of experience supporting end users, desktop computers, and printers in a networked environment.

IP based networking experience (cabling, configuration, basic understanding of routing, etc.).
-
Experience with Norton Ghost.
-
Experience with Linux servers and desktops.
